NEC

I had a fab time at the NEC on Friday. it was lovely meeting some of the people from MSE - some I had met before in November, some were new - all were really friendly. I was given some lovely cards and gifts - thank you!
I bought a few bits of stash, in particular some lily of the valley stamps (boys not fairies!!), more promarkers and a new ink pad!
It was well worth being picked up by Tams at 5.45 and getting home at 10.45!!! A big thank you Tams for driving.

Fame!

Luke and Oliver are performing in Fame during the Easter holidays. Today they had to go in costume - neon colours and leg warmers!

if anyone is local to Durham I thoroughly recommend this show at the Gala Theatre - it is going to be fab!

cross stitch

I am making a cross stitch for my friend's son's christening. He was born on 15 December 2009 and I started as soon as he was born. I knew he would be christened quite soon but as I didn't know when I started stiching straightaway. I have had a few breaks but have mainly stitched every day. I have just found out that the christening will be on Easter Sunday so I have two weeks to finish it and get it framed!! I will add his name and christening details in the clouds. I hope they will like it. I have been asked to be his godmother so it makes it even more special.

my lovely mothers day 2010

I have had a fab mothers day! I got a lovely matching necklace and bracelet (pandora style) and two gorgeous cards. Oliver knows me so well with his 'loves laptop' and I love the poem Luke has written!

another mother's day card

here is the card I made for my mum. I have made a card only as I have bought her a present that wouldn't fit in a little box! I plan to make an easel card box for her birthday.

I am going to try and enter this in to the creative craft world challenge! http://creativecraftworld.blogspot.com/

I made these for Oliver's party instead of party bags. my original plan was to buy the little jars from Poundland and fill them with sweets but by the time I got there they had sold out. So I bought some tumblers from Asda and filled them with haribo, jelly beans, fudge, wham bar, chocolate bunnies and eggs. I hope they like them!

mother's day assembly

yesterday was Oliver's school assembly. it was based around mother's day and was so lovely. some of the children read poems and Oliver did a little play with some of his class. they had written the play themselves - it was called selfish Sid! the children had painted portraits of their mothers - can you see the ressemblance! at the end the children handed out daffodils which was really nice.

mother's day card/present

I made this card/box for my mother in law for mother's day. I borrowed the idea from the lovely Debbie (Padster on mse) and followed her fab tutorial. Thank you Debbie for the great idea! I put some National Trust seeds and plant markers inside - not the most exciting but she will like them!
oops just realised I haven't taken a photo of the box. there was one honestly - Tams has seen it!!
