I used this fab digi stamp from Karens doodles (thanks Karen aka flourgirl for finding it) for Oliver's party invitations. He is having a movie party at home so this image was perfect. we have the DVD player connected to a projector which projects the film onto the wall opposite so although it is not quite the cinema it is quite impressive! I had to write the details by hand (was going to do them on the computer) but our lovely ds1 whilst using the main computer managed to obtain a major virus from somewhere so OH has been sorting it out all day. We haven't managed to connect my laptop to the printer yet so couldn't use that.
Idon't bake very often and I'm not the best but a friend of mine makes fantastic muffins which she reckons is all down to a book she has. So I borrowed the book and decided to have a go. they won't win any prizes for presentation but they do taste good! our oven is quite fierce though so must remember to turn it down next time! I made double choc chip and lemon - yummy!

when my parents and brother were here we had a trip to Beamish museum. it is a fab place and recreates life, shops, houses from 1913. they have a bus and tram to travel from one part to another. it was very cold but we all had a great time. the boys loved it - especially the sweet shop! we bought a season ticket so will definately be going back.

because of all the snow at Christmas time my parents and brother didn't come to stay with us as planned. So they came yesterday instead and we had 'Christmas' today. we had our Christmas meal with crackers and carols playing!! and we had presents. the boys had a great time and did a Christmas concert with carols - Luke on the keyboard and Oliver on the guitar!

I decided to make a scrapbook for my brother's 40th birthday. I have been 'thinking' about it for ages and eventually plucked up the courage to put it on paper. it is alot less fancy than most but my brother isn't really an embelishment kind of person. Also I found it quite hard using an 8x8 scrapbook as once the photos were on there wasn't much room. I am really pleased with the way it has turned out and hope my brother will like it.
just noticed the 'A' on the america page is not on properly but did correct it before I gave it to him!
I bought the alphabets from Caroline (CT1972) and they were brilliant. it was so good to have the alphabets on hand and to be able to cut them as and when I needed them. so a big thank you to Caroline for your perfect timing
