I thought I had better make a start with my Christmas cards. I ordered this fab stamp from elzybells - I love the simplicity. the scalloped frame was cut on the craft robo and was very kindly sent to me by Karen (aka flourgirl)

Luke's birthday card

now the summer holidays are over and the boys are back at school I have time to make cards and blog them! it seems forever since I did either of these!
Luke was 12 last week and here is the card I made for him. I have used images of things he like doing - photography. music and the wii.

my first wedding card

one of the vicars at OH's church is getting married in August - to a French lady! OH has been helping him with his speech so I thought I would make them a card (any excuse to use the fab LOTV stamp!). the sentiment isn't quite at the angle I wanted but I hope they like it anyway!!

I was looking at the Creative Craft World blog where the latest challenge is holiday. there are some fab makes by the DT and I loved the stationery box that Sarah had made. I had thought about making my MIL a box of cards for her birthday and this was perfect to put them in. I am quite impressed with how it has turned out especially as I am not very crafty and this is the first time I have made anything like it. It is not as perfect as Sarah's and there are things I would do better/differently next time (would probably use double sided paper) but I am pleased with it. I just have to make the cards now!! I will put some postage stamps in the little pocket and not sure what to put in the small boxes - have a week to think about it.

Luke and Oliver have both had a good year at school so I wanted to write and thank their teachers. Luke is leaving to go to secondary school so I also wanted to thank the secretaries and head mistress for all they have done during his time in the school. here are the cards I made for them

every year my two boys decorate a mug for their teachers. this year as Luke is leaving the school he also made one for the head mistress and 2 secretaries. they decorated the mug and I wrapped them in a cello bag with a covered notebook, pen and mints. i hope they like them!

a friend of mine is moving back to Germany after the summer holidays. we met when ds1 was at nursery with her daughter. they then went to separate infant schools and met up again at junior school. although I don't see much of her I will miss her as we see each other every day at school. I used one 9f the fab digi images I won from stampin with the dragon.

Father's Day

I bought the Greetings Farm 'my guy Ian' stamps and thought they would be perfect for boys' cards. Luke and Oliver are 9 and 11, their friends are similar ages and are outgrowing the cute boy images. luke's friend was 12 last week and I thought this image would be perfect.

I know this isn't crafting but I really want to show these fab photos of my two boys. the local council came to their theatre group to take photos to use for publicity for County Durham. I am so pleased with them, I think I will have to get one put on canvas for father's day but which one!

My little star!

Oliver did his latest tae Kwondo grading on Sunday and passed. he is now a red belt, only two away from a black belt. he has done really well and I am so proud of him!

Luke had a friend to play today and his mum said yesterday that it is her birthday today so I thought I would make her a card. here are Oliver and Luke's cards for their grandad's birthday. Oliver used the fab grandpa stamp from the greeting farm and Luke used the bear and balloons which was a freebie from a magazine.

Dad's birthday card

it is my Dad's birthday on Friday. here is his card. I used my fab new stamp from lili of the valley. I wanted to use my craft robo to make his card but am still at the learning stage and nothing turned out right. I managed to cut out the little fish and the 'gone fishin' so I suppose that is a start!
