valentine box

when I was at Tams' last week I coloured in the image which I mounted on to the little box and filled it with love chocolates. I have to admit that the box was made by Tams had so all credit goes to her!

Christmas in February!

because of all the snow at Christmas time my parents and brother didn't come to stay with us as planned. So they came yesterday instead and we had 'Christmas' today. we had our Christmas meal with crackers and carols playing!! and we had presents. the boys had a great time and did a Christmas concert with carols - Luke on the keyboard and Oliver on the guitar!

my first scrapbook

I decided to make a scrapbook for my brother's 40th birthday. I have been 'thinking' about it for ages and eventually plucked up the courage to put it on paper. it is alot less fancy than most but my brother isn't really an embelishment kind of person. Also I found it quite hard using an 8x8 scrapbook as once the photos were on there wasn't much room. I am really pleased with the way it has turned out and hope my brother will like it.

just noticed the 'A' on the america page is not on properly but did correct it before I gave it to him!

I bought the alphabets from Caroline (CT1972) and they were brilliant. it was so good to have the alphabets on hand and to be able to cut them as and when I needed them. so a big thank you to Caroline for your perfect timing

I had to make a sympathy card for my SIL and BIL. Just as I am never sure of what to write in symapthy cards I wasn't sure what to put on it either. I hope it will be OK.

Tams and Maddison came to visit today and when she left Tams told me I had to do some crafting! I haven't made any cards for ages but the nesties I bought from Tams inspired me! here are my cards:

it's nearly Christmas!!

today was the Christmas festival in Durham. It was extremely busy and crowded but the best bit was my two boys singing carols. The Youth Theatre they go to was singing carols to entertain the crowds but also to raise money for their next production (fame in April). I love listening to children singing and carols are especially fab! they ranged from 9 (my ds2!) to about 18. I did take some pics of them singing but they all have at least one other child in the background so can't put them on here.
